Introducing...

I've been so excited for this project I've been cooking up.  Project Runway is one of my all-time favorite shows EVER.  I wanted to have even MORE fun with making doll clothes than I'm already having.  I thought it would be fun to combine the two together!  Introducing....

I will be rewatching each episode and taking part in each challenge (as best I can with a doll as my model).  It has been really fun going back and watching old episodes.  I just love them!  First up, Season 1, Episode 1
How did I forget that the very FIRST episode was one of my favorite type of challenges?

UNCONVENTIONAL CHALLENGE.

The challenge was called the "Innovation" challenge and they were taken to a grocery store for their supplies or "fabric".  The challenge was to design a dress for a night out using only items found at that grocery store.

The winner was Austin, with a dress made from corn husks and the eliminated designer was Daniel, with a dress made from black trash bags and a sleeveless jacket made from brown paper.

I've been collecting Cheetos bags for months in preparation for finally starting this first dress.

I drew up the dress first, trying not to deviate too much from the design.

Here are the results of my very first challenge!

(this handbag was made from an instant oatmeal packet box and part of the Cheetos bag)

This was so much fun and I'm looking forward to the next challenge.  Stay tuned!
